Nothing makes us happier than being able to help change a life. Pathways to your Future (PTYF) co-founder Gerald E. Thompson just handed over the keys to Malaya’s new place to live, and we’re not sure whose smile is bigger!
The duplex she now calls home has two 4-bedroom units and 6 bathrooms. This was formerly used as transitional housing for men diagnosed with HIV/AIDs, but PTYF, in partnership with Volunteers Of America (VOA), identified an overwhelming need for housing especially for female Transition Age Youth (TAY). That pivot means homeless TAY girls (aged 18 to 25) now have the opportunity to live in permanent housing!
