Our Mission:
To provide comprehensive education, health, and human services to reduce homelessness of underserved individuals, youth and families while promoting their development and enriching the communities of Los Angeles County

Our Vision:
PTYF envisions that every Transition Aged Youth (TAY) ages 16 thru 25 should experience greater expectations, realization, and hope for a future through a clearly defined path that leads to self-reliance, self-sufficiency, and independent healthy quality lifestyles.

PTYF co-founded in 2000 by Gerald E. Thompson and his wife Linda B. Thompson. PTYF is a non-profit 501 c 3 program for homeless Transitional Age Youth (TAY) ages 16 to 25 and is committed to increase the number of clean and safe shelter, transitional and permanent housing beds with supportive services for homeless TAY.
With our collaborative partners, we seek to enhance homeless youth core skills and capabilities to achieve our mission to prevent and end Transition Age Youth (TAY) homelessness in the 2nd Supervisor District, South LA’s SPA 6 and surrounding regions.
