Adopt Pathways To Your Future: Donate cash/in-kind resources, volunteer your expertise, or help with other roles, e.g., fundraising, serving on a committee, helping with events.
Be a moral authority on issues that affect homeless policies and services by attending public hearings, press conferences, commission meetings, etc.
Include Transition Age Youth providers in your benevolence practices.
Organize and advocate: Attend a court hearing, write support letters, or champion and mobilize on issues that impact our system of care and delivery of services.
Engage and get involved in local community planning by sharing your experiences about Transition Age Youth with community leaders.
Bring awareness to homeless issues by organizing activities for National Foster Care Month, National Youth Homelessness Awareness Month, World Homeless Day, Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, and California Runaway and Homeless Youth Month.
Offer training, supplemental support or workshops to civic groups, individuals and providers of foster, kinship, or group homes, to increase better foster youth transitions into adulthood.
Help strengthen our capacity by filling gaps in services and expanding resources, e.g., donations of excess land for transitional and affordable housing development, etc.
Spread the word and encourage participation from your friends and family in securing homes and resources for Transition Age Youth.
